Overview
Join professional team as a trainee bathroom fitter and within months learn the skills required to become a fully fledged bathroom fitter responsible for managing the whole process of installing an adapted bathroom for our multiple council and housing association clients.
Duties
To begin - Assist with the installation and fitting of bathroom components including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, showers, cabinets, and fixtures.
Support senior team members in measuring, cutting, and preparing materials using hand tools and power tools.
Learn to operate plumbing equipment and assist with basic plumbing tasks such as connecting pipes and fixtures.
Participate in heavy lifting activities to move materials and bathroom fittings safely around the worksite.
Follow safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of tools and equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficiency and safety on site.
Moving onto - Working alongside plumbers, electrician and floor layer to manage and complete your own full bathroom installations including tiling, carpentry and basic plumbing.
Skills
Good knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and plumbing systems is advantageous but not required—training will be provided.
Good sense of basic math for measuring spaces, cutting materials accurately, and understanding specifications.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique.
Carpentry skills for building boxing in of pipes and studding/boarding out walls/floors.
Some level of experience in tiling would be preffered but can but taught/improved on the job.
Full UK drivers' licence
