We are looking for an industry experienced Retail Sales Assistant to join our friendly team and help us expand our business in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have terrific verbal and good written communication skills - Must have an understanding of our product range, with a strong knowledge of Nursery Retail Industry and experience interacting with customers.
If you have past experience working in baby / nursery goods retail we would love you to join our team – Ex Mamas & Papas or Smyths staff for e.g. are ideal as your past experience and product knowledge are key to a great customer service experience.
Your primary role is to ‘serve’ customers in an advisory helpful manner and assist with demonstrating the products they show an interest in (up to date product training provided). This role would suit someone who is confident to advise with your past knowledge of baby products and engage in ‘face to face’ dealings with customers who visit our stores.
Smart in appearance and friendly / outgoing in their attitude to ensure our customers obtain a fantastic impression of customer service when visiting our stores, and ultimately enjoy a great experience.
Training will be provided for the latest products (to add to your existing past knowledge) as customers tend to need advising on the workings of prams, pushchairs, car seats and Nursery items, plus on the EPOS system with cash / payment handling
Computer literate for the role is useful – training on our systems (Website, till etc.) will be provided.
There is some lifting work to assist the customer, as the customer needs help taking the larger items out to their vehicle (in our own car park)
Weekend working is required for this role. Successful candidate must be available to work both Saturday & Sunday though this doesn't mean they will work both each weekend. Usually 1 of 2, then 2 of 2.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
