Job Description:
The successful candidate will join a supportive team in a well-facilitated, welcoming SEND school, working with both primary and secondary students. The school offers a path for progression and the opportunity of a full-time contract.
Position: SEMH Cover Supervisor
Location: Tameside
Company: Justteachers
Daily Rate: £100-£130 a day based on experience
Working Hours: 08:30am – 15:30pm, Monday to Friday
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have completed Cover Supervisor training and have experience delivering classes.
- Experience working with adults or children with complex or SEMH within the last two years, preferably in a SEND/SEMH school, or PRU.
- Dedication to the development and learning of students with SEMH, with a desire to make a positive impact.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, essential for working effectively within a professional environment.
- Ability to establish rapport with students and demonstrate empathy towards their challenges and behaviours.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and provide support to students with SEMH in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and fellow staff members to ensure the best possible learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and motivations.
- Support the ethos of the school and contribute to its inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
