Role Overview:
C L Danson (Building Contractors) Ltd are an established principal contractor delivering refurbishment, adaptation, maintenance and insured reinstatement projects throughout the North West of England.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Minor Works Supervisor to take ownership of our growing Minor Works and Maintenance division.
The role is a key operational position within the business, responsible for managing a wide range of maintenance, repair and refurbishment projects from initial survey through to completion.
Typical projects include:
- Disability adaptation works.
- Insurance reinstatement works.
- Roofing repairs & renewals.
- Planned maintenance works.
- Reactive repairs.
- Minor refurbishments.
- General repairs.
Project values within this arm of the business range up to a maximum value of £50,000.00.
The successful candidate will become the day-to-day operational lead for these projects, working closely with the Managing Director, Commercial Director and Projects Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake site surveys and inspections.
- Assess repairs and determine practical construction solutions.
- Plan and coordinate labour, materials and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and quality.
- Liaise with clients, residents and stakeholders.
- Identify defects, additional works and variation items.
- Manage project completion and handover.
- Provide technical guidance and support to operatives.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Assist with the continued development of the Minor Works division.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong construction background.
- Previous experience in a supervisory, foreman or management role.
- Good understanding of domestic/residential refurbishment works.
- Ability to assess building defects and repair requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
The ideal candidate will have a trade background, either from a joinery or multi-trade background.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
