Housekeeper / Cleaner
Thornton Manor Country Estate is looking for a confident, diligent and meticulous Housekeeper to join our growing team.
You will be hard working and committed to exceptional customer service. We want our customers to be ‘wowed’, and believe everyone has their part to play in making this happen. So, as well as taking pride in ensuring our Estate is kept spotless, you’ll provide a friendly and welcoming service to all guests at Thornton Manor.
This is a part time role offered with a minimum of 3-4 days per week across a 7-day rota. Flexibility will be a key part of any candidates’ success, with a requirement to be available weekends, with early mornings through to late afternoons, as and when the business requires.
Main responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and upkeep within our stunning Manor House and on-site accommodation
- Facilitating turn arounds following guest departures, including our accommodation made up of 14 Cottages
- Always have a keen eye for detail, identifying any areas for improvement and reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Linen inventory management, including reporting and ordering
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Report any damages, deficits, and disturbances
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Be a team player and support other departments as required during busy periods
- Assist with the check in procedure for our on-site accommodation as required
- Assisting with event set ups as required
Required skills:
- An outgoing and sociable personality, driven by a passion for hospitality and outstanding customer service
- Previous experience in housekeeping
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Motivated to go the extra mile for guests and colleagues
- Ability to prioritise constructively and time management skills
- Working quickly without compromising quality

- A full, clean driving licence (essential due to location)
