As a Multiskilled Vehicle Repair Technician, you will carry out high-quality vehicle repairs from start to finish, ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently and to manufacturer and company standards.
Observe, recognise and report on vehicle structure and paintwork.
Ensure vehicles comply with safety standards before being returned to customers and report any outstanding faults.
Remove and safely store vehicle components, fluids and gases as directed by the work order.
Report all faults and defects identified whilst working on vehicles.
Ensure the correct repair method is available, understood and followed at all times.
Replace bolted panels in accordance with manufacturer repair methods.
Repair damaged panels, including filler work, ready for paint preparation.
Carry out paint repairs using paint mixing systems, computerised scales, spray booths and drying equipment.
Prepare repaired areas for the application of topcoat.
Apply topcoat to manufacturer specifications.
Flat and polish repairs to a high standard when required.
Ensure PAS125 and Health & Safety procedures are followed.
Accurately document all components, materials and consumables used.
Protect customers' vehicles using appropriate covers and protective equipment.
Complete quality control documentation and obtain relevant sign-offs where required.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in vehicle body repair, including Panel, Paint and/or MET.
Experience carrying out complete vehicle repairs from start to finish.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Willingness to gain relevant qualifications in line with workshop requirements.
ATA qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Previous bodyshop repair experience.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude with a flexible approach to work.
