About the role
TP Care at Homes Ltd is looking for an experienced and dependable Senior Carer to join our growing team in a varied hybrid role.
This is not a standard care position. The successful applicant will work across different areas of the service, combining:
- Direct support to Service Users
- Support and guidance for care staff
- Compliance and quality-related duties
- Office-based administrative work
- On-call responsibilities
Please note: “hybrid” refers to a combination of community-based care and office work. This is not a remote-working position.
We provide care to both children and adults across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and the surrounding areas. As a nurse-led complex care provider, our work can include individuals with more complex health and support needs alongside traditional domiciliary care.
This position would suit an experienced carer who is ready to take greater responsibility and develop beyond a purely care-based role.
What the role involves
The role will be varied and may include:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care to children and adults
- Supporting Service Users with complex and individualised care needs
- Working alongside carers and providing practical guidance when required
- Supporting staff with documentation and compliance expectations
- Checking care records and identifying areas requiring improvement
- Assisting with spot checks and staff competency monitoring
- Supporting medication-related compliance and safe practice
- Helping staff understand care plans, risk assessments and company procedures
- Supporting the office team with care-related administration
- Communicating with Service Users, families, staff and professionals
- Helping respond to changes in Service Users' needs
- Providing leadership and reassurance during more complex situations
- Participating in the company’s on-call arrangements
- Providing direct care when operationally required
The balance between care work, staff support and office duties may vary depending on the needs of the service.
Essential requirements
You must:
- Have previous experience working in health or social care
- Have experience at Senior Carer level or be able to demonstrate readiness for increased responsibility
- Hold a full driving licence
- Have access to a reliable vehicle for work
- Be confident travelling to Service Users across BCP and nearby areas
- Be available to work every second weekend
- Be willing to participate in on-call duties
- Be comfortable supporting both children and adults
- Have good spoken and written English
- Be confident using electronic care records and basic office systems
- Be reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Be willing to provide direct care as part of the role

This is a flexible role involving a mixture of:

Applicants must be prepared for the practical realities of working in a growing care service. Some days will be planned; others may require flexibility to respond to Service Users, staff or operational needs.
Pay
£13.50–£15.00 per hour
The offered rate will depend on the successful applicant’s experience, qualifications, competence and ability to undertake the wider responsibilities of the role.

We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of the service rather than simply complete a shift and go home.
Pay: £28,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
