Overview
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Kitchen / Shop Fitter to join our busy and rapidly growing business.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within commercial kitchens and food premises, with particular experience in the installation of commercial extraction canopies, ductwork, extraction fans and associated controls.
This is a reactive, fast-paced business, so the ability to respond quickly to jobs and complete work to a high standard within demanding turnaround times is essential.
Responsibilities
- Installation and fitting of commercial kitchen extraction canopies
- Installation of associated extraction ductwork
- Installation and fitting of extraction fans
- Installation of associated fan controls and equipment
- Commercial kitchen and shop-fitting work
- Working from drawings and site measurements
- Removal and replacement of existing extraction systems where required
- Carrying out reactive and emergency works
- Working efficiently to demanding deadlines
- Liaising professionally with customers and other trades on site
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site cleanliness
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial kitchen fitting / shop fitting
- Strong practical experience installing commercial extraction canopies and ductwork
- Experience with extraction fans and associated controls
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on site
- Good understanding of commercial kitchen environments
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Electrical or mechanical knowledge
- Experience with commercial kitchen ventilation systems
- Experience working on reactive maintenance contracts
- Relevant trade qualifications
- CSCS or other relevant site qualifications
