Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our family run dental practice. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during dental procedures and providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared
- Provide chairside support to the dentist, anticipating their needs and ensuring a smooth workflow
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Ensure a clean and organized dental environment
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong patient care skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease
- Proficient in English language
- Organizational skills with attention to detail
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and knowledge of SOE (not essential).
