Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Manage specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauté stations, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate with the head chef and team members to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed diligently, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and communicating needs for replenishment.
- Support the training of junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on learning and growth.
- Maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm during service hours to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards.
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent skills in food presentation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members.
