Bartender – The Mayfair Harrogate
The Mayfair Harrogate is looking for an energetic, friendly, and professional Bartender to join our team at our busy sports bar and kitchen in the heart of Harrogate. We’re a vibrant venue known for great food, cocktails, live sports, and a fun atmosphere, so we need someone who can deliver excellent service while keeping pace in a fast-moving environment.
Role overview
As a Bartender, you’ll be a key part of the front-of-house team, preparing drinks, serving guests, and helping create a welcoming atmosphere for every customer. You’ll need to be confident working in a high-volume setting, comfortable with all the usual bar duties, and able to keep standards high even during busy periods. Bartenders are also expected to support cleanliness, stock control, and customer service across the bar area.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including beers, wines, spirits, and cocktails.
- Welcome guests warmly and provide a friendly, professional first point of contact.
- Take and process orders accurately using the till/POS system.
- Keep the bar area clean, tidy, and well stocked throughout service.
- Maintain legal and responsible service of alcohol at all times.
- Help create a positive atmosphere for guests enjoying sport, food, and entertainment.
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
What we’re looking for
- Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred.
- A friendly, approachable attitude and strong communication skills.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good teamwork and reliability.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy event periods.
