Tunnicliffe Education is recruiting enthusiastic, reliable people to join our team delivering holiday clubs for children across Oxfordshire with a focus on our clubs running over the Christmas Holiday.
We are particularly looking for Club Managers to work over the Christmas Break. The clubs will run in two blocks 19th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd December and 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st December. In order to be a club manager you will need to be able to work for all of one or both blocks.
As well during Christmas our clubs also run during Easter and Summer school holidays, making these roles particularly suitable for:
- Teachers and school staff looking for enjoyable extra work during the holidays
- University and college students looking for holiday work
- People considering a career in education, childcare, youth work or teaching
- Anyone looking to gain more practical experience working with children
- Experienced childcare and education professionals looking for flexible work
Our clubs combine arts, crafts, science, museums, games, practical activities and educational experiences. We want children to learn, make things, try something new and have a genuinely enjoyable day — without it feeling like school.
Our Club Managers take responsibility for the smooth and safe running of a club.
You will:
- Lead and support a small team of Facilitators
- Organise the day's activities and keep things running to schedule
- Welcome children and parents at drop-off and pick-up
- Direct and help with clearing up a site at the end of the day
- Maintain registers and oversee attendance
- Make sure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed
- Support children with different needs
- Help deliver activities when needed
- Communicate with the wider Tunnicliffe Education team
- Lead the end-of-day staff debrief
This role could suit: teachers, teaching assistants, youth workers, experienced activity leaders, sports coaches, childcare professionals, students or graduates with significant experience working with children, or anyone with relevant leadership experience.
We are particularly interested in people who are organised, calm, approachable and confident taking responsibility.
