Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate, adaptable tutor/mentor to support a young person in Chorley (PR6) for up to 10 hours per week. You will work as part of a 2:1 team, offering flexible, child‑led support that centres relationship‑building, trust and the young person’s interests. Full training and ongoing mentoring will be provided to ensure you feel confident and supported throughout the provision.
Experience:
- Has knowledge of SEND, including Autism, PDA, ADHD and sensory needs.
- Is confident using Roblox/gaming as a tool for connection (or willing to learn).
- Is happy to facilitate swimming sessions, including going underwater as part of the activity.
- Communicates clearly and can adapt their style to suit the young person’s pace and preferences.
- Builds relationships gently, follows the young person’s lead and offers predictable, reliable support.
- Is trustworthy, patient and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, playful environment.

Requirements:
- This is a self-employed role with flexible hours.
- Role may include sessions during school holidays as well as term time.

- Public Liability & Professional Indemnity insurance are required.
- An Enhanced DBS check issued within 1 year is required, if you do not have this, we can start the process.
