Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all nursery areas, including play zones, restrooms, kitchens, and storage spaces, following established sanitation protocols
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies to remove dirt, dust, stains, and debris efficiently
- Maintain hygiene standards by disinfecting surfaces regularly, especially high-touch areas such as door handles, toys, and furniture
- Manage waste disposal responsibly by emptying bins and ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed
- Restock cleaning supplies and hygiene products to ensure continuous availability for staff and children
- Follow health and safety guidelines meticulously to prevent contamination or accidents within the nursery environment
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing additional cleaning or maintenance support
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly preferred
- Familiarity with nursery or childcare facility cleaning standards is a plus
- Ability to operate various cleaning machinery such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and steam cleaners effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
