Duty Manager
An opportunity to join the team at Brocco on the Park - Sheffield's only 5* AA rated Restaurant with Rooms - as a Duty Manager has arisen.
Brocco on the Park is a boutique hotel with 8 beautifully decorated bedrooms, just off Ecclesall Road on Brocco Bank.
Overview of the role
We are searching for a Duty Manager to be in control of the site in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager. This role will be part time, and hours may vary week to week depending on trade levels.
You will be a natural at building relationships with guests, picking up on their needs without needing to be told, and have a drive to deliver exceptional guest experiences. We care about our guests, and want them to have the best experience in both the hotel, and the restaurant, and you will need to be adaptable to meet their expectations.
Ideally you will have good knowledge of the Sheffield Area, and be able to have conversations with guests about their visit to Sheffield.
We would ask for candidates who have one year of experience in a similar, high quality environment at a minimum of Supervisor level. Training will be provided to bring you up to speed with the Brocco way of service.
Lone working in the restaurant will be necessary in this role, however we do have a dedicated kitchen team.

Part time hours varying week to week dependent on the needs of the business at 15 - 45 hours per week dependent on the needs of the business
Personal Requirements
The ideal candidate would have one year of supervisor experience within a hospitality setting.
Experience of developing relationships with both colleagues & guests
Highly organised and clean with a pro-active approach
Great communicator, with the ability to inspire your team, across all departments, in a fast-paced environment.
Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring experience.
Strong administrative and IT skills.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day cover of the site
- Opening and closing of the business ensuring a thorough handover to Night Porters.
- Providing exceptional service to both restaurant and hotel guests
- Promptly replying to enquiries and flagging information to senior management
- Professional appearance and behaviour
- Continuous training and development of junior members of staff
- Cash handling
- Opportunity to be creative with the role under a supportive senior management team
