Community Pharmacy North East London are looking to recruit a Pharmacy Services Manager to support us by working closely with the CP NEL team to produce high quality outcomes for the benefit of our Community Pharmacy Contractors.
The successful candidate will regularly liaise with the CEO, current CP NEL team and committee to deliver key objectives.
This role is a full-time, permanent position open to GPhC registered Pharmacists or Pharmacy Technicians.
An ideal candidate will have great communication skills, the ability to coach, develop and influence and good experience and knowledge of Community Pharmacy. A full job specification is available below:

Hours: 35hrs Mon-Fri (Will consider a 9 day fortnight)
Fees: £55,000-£60,000

Summary of outcomes:
- Report to the CEO of the LPC
- Facilitate the successful implementation of new services (national & local) commissioned across North-East London (NEL) LPC
- Enhance the delivery of existing services commissioned across NEL
- Support the delivery of training events including the delivery of evening training sessions
- Engage effectively with a range of partners including Local Council, ICB and NHS England to ensure the successful delivery of services
- Be able to work independently
- Be required to travel across NEL
Build an evidence base for pharmacy services and ensure robust evaluation of the project.
- Visit pharmacies and surgeries to offer one to one support where required
- Develop a services gap map for NEL
Job Description
1) Implementation of new services
- Co-ordinate the successful launch of a new service
- Liaise with pharmacies to ensure sign up / understanding to the new service
- Facilitate any training required to deliver the new service
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the implementation.
- Review the engagement with the service post go live and support where necessary
- Provide updates to the LPC CEO about the implementation of the service
2) Enhanced pharmacy engagement with existing services
- Review delivery of current services
- Communicate with pharmacies who are performing well to understand their key to success
- Communicate with pharmacies who are struggling to share best practice
- Visit pharmacies where appropriate to support engagement
- Facilitate training sessions to improve engagement with services
- Present feedback to the LPC CEO about the improved engagement with services
3) Training events
- Delivery of the LPC training programme (daytime, evenings and occasional weekends)
- Support the delivery of external training for the implementation of new services, or to enhance engagement with existing services
4) Communications
- Maintain communications by way of reports, newsletters, support material, information sheets, meetings or other methods with a wide range of stakeholders as appropriate.
- Deliver engaging and informative presentations.
- Communicate with both participating and other contractors with regard to the commissioned services so that they feel engaged and are encouraged to provide high quality services.
- Provide a summary for contractors to accompany the LPC Annual Report.
Essential Knowledge / Attributes
- Experience of training and development
- Knowledge of public health principles and priorities
- Knowledge of the pharmacy environment
- Capable of independent working
- Self motivated and well organised
- Computer literate and confident in the use MS Office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – written and verbal
- Understanding of data monitoring and evaluation process
- Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm for the successful implementation of new services
- Be mobile to meet the requirements of the post
- Able to work outside of normal working hours
