We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our Military department.
Our expert military solicitors support service personnel and veterans who have suffered avoidable injury or illness as a result of failures by the Ministry of Defence. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing and purpose-driven team that delivers meaningful outcomes for clients across the UK.
The role
As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the operational performance of the department, ensuring teams are supported to deliver an efficient, high-quality and client-focused service.
Working closely with the Department Head and team leaders, you will be responsible for monitoring departmental performance, managing workflows and resources, driving operational improvements and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and service standards.
The role will include:

Preparing and delivering management information and KPI reporting
- Monitoring team performance, workloads and departmental SLAs
- Supporting financial and operational performance across the department
- Managing resource planning and capacity across multiple legal teams
- Overseeing onboarding, training and development initiatives
- Supporting process improvement and operational efficiencies
- Acting as a key liaison between legal teams and support departments including HR, IT and Accounts
- Building strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders
This is a varied and fast-paced position suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, improving processes and supporting high-performing teams.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded individual with previous operational management experience within a professional services or high-volume environment.
You will also have:

Strong organisational and people management skills
- Experience analysing performance data and driving improvements
- The ability to manage competing priorities and workloads effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach
- Experience supporting team performance, engagement and development
- Experience within a legal environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
