Responsibilities
- Supervise and interact with dogs during playtime, rest periods, and feeding to promote socialization and safety
- Monitor dogs’ behavior closely, identifying signs of stress or discomfort and responding promptly to ensure their well-being
- Assist with daily cleaning routines, including sanitizing kennels, play areas, and feeding stations to maintain a hygienic environment
- Support dog handling during walks, bathroom breaks, and transportation within the facility using proper safety techniques
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dogs’ activities, health status, and any concerns that arise during the day
- Assist veterinary or animal care professionals with basic health checks or administering medications if needed
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in animal care and customer service
Skills
- Prior veterinary experience or background in animal care is highly valued to ensure confident handling of pets with diverse needs
- Strong commitment to animal welfare, demonstrating patience, compassion, and attentiveness at all times
- Excellent customer service skills to build positive relationships with pet owners and address their questions or concerns professionally
