Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities, including preparing materials and setting up learning stations

- Implement tailored strategies for students with disabilities or special needs, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment
- Foster positive relationships with students by mentoring, encouraging participation, and promoting social-emotional development
- Help manage classroom behavior by implementing established behavior plans and promoting respectful interactions
- Support students with autism or other developmental differences through specialized activities and communication techniques
- Contribute to creative writing exercises and literacy activities to enhance language skills and self-expression
Skills
- Experience working with children across various age groups in educational or childcare settings
- Knowledge of special education principles and strategies for supporting students with disabilities
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental challenges is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students
- Ability to tutor and mentor students, fostering a supportive and motivating environment
- Creative writing skills to assist in literacy development and storytelling activities
- Passion for education, patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to student support
