About Us:
We are an established stone fabrication company specializing in worktops, bathrooms, and bespoke stone projects. We are looking for a reliable, skilled labourer to support our factory team.
Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move slabs, worktops, and finished stone products using suction lifters, forklifts, and trolleys
- Factory Support: Assist fabricators and machine operators with cutting, polishing, and installation preparation
- Workshop Duties: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop. Sweep, manage waste, and keep work areas tidy
- Tool & Equipment Care: Assist with setup, cleaning, and basic maintenance of tools, machinery, and vehicles
- Packing & Dispatch: Prepare orders for delivery, crate/pack finished products, and assist with deliveries as required
- Health & Safety: Follow all PPE and H&S procedures. Report any hazards immediately
General Support: Assist with any other duties in the factory as needed to support production targets
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, construction, or stone/tiling environment preferred but not essential.
- Physical: Ability to lift heavy materials up to 25kg and work on your feet all day
- Skills: Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using basic hand toolsLicenses:
- Forklift license or experience with lifting equipment is a plus but not required
- Reliability: Punctual, hardworking, and able to follow instructionsTeam Player: Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Legal: Right to work in the UK
- Full UK driving license
