Factory Operative – Plaswire
About the Role
Plaswire specialises in advance manufacture, recycling and recovery of polymer waste plastics and composite. We are scaling the UK–Ireland’s first industrial process for transforming end‑of‑life wind‑turbine blades and advanced composites into high‑performance RX Polymer™. As a Factory Operative, you will play a hands‑on role in a modern, safety‑led manufacturing environment, supporting daily production, materials handling, and quality control across our recycling and polymer‑processing lines.
This post will be based at our Lurgan site, hours of work Mon to Thurs 5.45am to 3.45pm and Fri 5.45am to 1.45pm (45.5hr week).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment involved in composite shredding, material separation, and polymer production
- Carry out routine inspections, basic maintenance, and cleaning of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Monitor production processes, record data, and report deviations or issues promptly
- Handle incoming composite materials and prepare batches for processing
- Support quality checks on intermediate and finished RX Polymer™ products
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures, including PPE and safe‑systems‑of‑work
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and engineers to meet daily production targets
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant working environment
Skills & Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, recycling, or industrial operations (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with machinery, tools, and manual handling tasks
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to safety
- Willingness to learn new processes and support continuous improvement

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
