Multi Site Communal Cleaner
Location: Colchester, Maldon and Clacton-on-sea
Salary: £15.00 per hour.
Contract: Part time
Hours: 12 hours per week (this includes travel time, and approx 10 hours of hands on cleaning a week)
We are seeking a reliable, dedicated and hard-working multi-site communal cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness in hallways, stairwells and lobbies. You will travel across multiple residential sites on a planned weekly rota, ensuring all shared and communal areas such as entrance halls, stairwells, lifts and landings are kept clean.
All equipment will be provided.
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within a Supported Living environment for adults with learning disabilities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in commercial cleaning, demonstrating attention to detail and a proactive approach to their work. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all communal areas, including floors, surfaces, and fixtures.
- Travel between sites following a designated weekly schedule.
- Vacuum and mop hard floors and stairwell carpets.
- Dust and wipe down handrails, skirting boards, windowsills and doors.
- Remove cobwebs and spot-clean marks on communal walls.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure effective sanitation
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning procedures
- Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning tasks
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines and complete tasks within allocated timeframes
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour while on-site
Requirements
- Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (essential for multi-site travel)
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to tasks
- Ability to work independently, unsupervised.
- Good time management skills to prioritise duties effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning activities such as COSHH.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift light equipment or materials as required
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness at all times
Pay: £15.00 per hour
