Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sales Development Manager to support growth of the Blue Label by Ben Whistler sales portfolio by managing relationships with interior designers, architects and specifiers, as well as some administrative duties while representing a well-respected brand known for its quality and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
Skills & Experience
1. Account Management & Relationship Building
- Build and foster relationships with interior designers, architects, specifiers, and hospitality professionals to generate leads and convert them into orders
- Seek new business opportunities with potential clients with the aim of developing long-lasting relationships
- Leverage existing network, industry knowledge, passion and relationship-building skills to help drive new business whilst maintaining existing client relationships
- 2-3 years' experience in business development, sales, or account management within the interiors industry, specifically targeting interior designers, architects and hospitality clients
- Strong track record in selling product within the high-end interior design sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2. Target-Based Sales & Performance
- Work towards individual sales commission figures to meet set targets and reach Company objectives
- Target-driven with a strong sales track record
- Capability to work independently with a high level of initiative, as well as having a team player mentality
3. Client-Facing Events & Brand Representation
- Assist with organising and attending marketing and trade events to showcase the Blue Label collection
- Confidently meet clients face-to-face, building close working relationships alongside office-based team support
- Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail in the completion and execution of tasks
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with reading and understanding CAD drawings advantageous but not essential; further training provided
4. Sales and Administrative Support
- Offer ad hoc administrative support to our Sales Development Manager when they are out on the road
- Help manage daily general enquiries via the info mailbox and call queries, directing to relevant contacts where necessary
- Keeping on top of product on display in the showroom, making sure it is always to highest standard
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Extremely organised and focused
