Overall Responsibilities:
· To ensure that the appearance of Front of House is immaculate with a key focus on attention to detail.
· To be responsible for full reception and Bar coverage and expected busy times whilst maintaining high standards of customer service.
· To contribute to maintain a safe, efficient and enjoyable environment for both guests and colleagues.
· To check front office accounting records for accuracy and prepares a summary of cash and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel's financial performance for the day.
Key Accountabilities:
· To check In and check Out guests whilst providing personalised, courteous service and information to guests
· To promote a helpful and professional image to our clients and to ensure every guest gets a great first impression on arrival, to ensure that all their needs are addressed in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
· To verify that all transactions performed at the front desk are supported by documentary evidence and signatures as necessary and that they have been correctly posted and allocated in to PMS system.
· To track room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
· To check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
· To Prepare of End of day procedure and follow the End of Day / Night Audit Checklist
· To run End of Day process in property management software (PMS Rezlynx).
· Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
· To ensure the highest standards of general hygiene and hygienic food handling are achieved at all times.
· To assist with the smooth operation within the Reception and Bar as required and fully confident with the Restaurant set up for Breakfast
· To be fully conversant with the procedures for Fire, security, Health and Safety and Health and Hygiene.
· Ensure all tasks on the shift procedures are completed thoroughly and accurately
· To identify and report hazards and maintenance requirements in the workplace
· To attend Hotel and Departmental Meetings as required, ensuring effective communication at all levels.
· Required to be pro-active and driven, with a winning attitude, strong can do approach and able to remain calm under pressure with a high working commitment
General:
- To assist in maintaining regular communication within the team and to attend hotel meetings when required
- Actively motivate your teams to create an environment that is fun, has a good team spirit, yet professional
- To attend all training, as required
- To be fully involved in the company’s Health & Safety practices. Adherence to all company procedures on health and safety and hygiene including maintaining cleanliness of work areas at all times
- Promote the Company image to all guests
