We're looking for a talented Contentious Trusts & Probate Solicitor, to join our busy and successful team in Knowle, working alongside the fantastic Anna Sutcliffe and supported by our highly regarded specialist paralegal.
This isn't just a role in an established team. It's a rare opportunity to work alongside Anna and help build something special. As demand for our services continues to grow, we're looking for a Contentious Trusts & Probate specialist who is excited by the prospect of helping develop the department, strengthening its reputation, and contributing to its long-term success.
With a strong flow of existing work, excellent support from Anna and our experienced paralegal, and ambitious plans for growth, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact from day one. We're looking for someone with relevant contentious trusts and probate experience who can hit the ground running, bring expertise to the team, and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
What you'll be doing
You'll take ownership of a varied caseload of contentious trusts and probate matters, working closely with Anna on complex and interesting cases while enjoying the autonomy to make the role your own.
You'll be joining a genuinely supportive environment where collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. With daily support from Anna and our experienced paralegal, you'll have the backing you need while being trusted to deliver excellent results for clients.
While your base will be in the lovely market town of Knowle, you'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the wider firm and region, giving you exposure to a broad range of clients, referrers and professional contacts.
What we're looking for
We're keen to hear from candidates who:
- Have demonstrable experience in contentious trusts and probate matters
- Can confidently manage a caseload and build strong client relationships
- Enjoy working as part of a close-knit, supportive team
- Bring energy, ideas and expertise to an already successful department
- Have an appetite for business development and are enthusiastic about helping us continue to grow our client base and reputation
- Aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved
- Are looking for a role where they can genuinely influence and contribute to the continued success of the team
- Hold ACTAPS membership or accreditation (advantageous, but not essential)
Why join us?
Because this isn't just another contentious probate role.
You'll be joining a department with an excellent reputation, a strong pipeline of work, and genuine ambitions for continued growth. You'll work alongside exceptional colleagues who are passionate about what they do, in a culture where your contribution is recognised and your development is encouraged.
This role is ideally suited to someone with relevant experience who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and ambitious team. We are not seeking Partner-level candidates for this position.
If you're looking for a role where you can make an immediate impact, help shape a growing department, and work with supportive and talented people, this could be exactly what you're looking for.
Join Anna, our wonderful team, and help us take our thriving Contentious Trusts & Probate department to the next level.
