Job Description:
- Prepare fresh ingredients, wash, peel, chop, and portion vegetables, meats, and other produce.
- Assist chefs with basic cooking tasks, such as mixing sauces or plating dishes.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organised, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and managing waste.
- Receive and store deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated and stored safely.
- Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
- Support the team during busy service periods with a positive, can-do attitude.
Person Specification:
- A genuine interest in food and hospitality.
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable, but training will be considered for the right candidate.
