Multi Skilled Operative – Social Housing
Location: Wirral initially, with projects moving into Bolton & Greater Manchester

We are currently recruiting for experienced Multi Skilled Operatives to work on social housing properties, primarily within over-55s residential homes and flats.
We are particularly interested in Multi Traders with previous experience carrying out bathroom adaptations, although candidates with a strong general multi-skilled maintenance background will also be considered.
The initial project is based in Wirral, with further work expected to move into Bolton and across Greater Manchester, providing a strong opportunity for ongoing work.
The Role
You will be carrying out general maintenance, adaptation and refurbishment works across occupied and void properties, including:
- Bathroom adaptations and refurbishments
- Shower room installations and alterations
- Installing and replacing shower screens
- Joinery and carpentry works
- Tiling
- Plumbing and general maintenance
- Back-end repair and maintenance works
- Responsive repairs within occupied properties
- Void property works
- General remedial and refurbishment works
- Other multi-skilled maintenance duties
Requirements
- Previous experience within social housing or residential maintenance
- Experience carrying out bathroom adaptations is highly desirable
- Strong multi-skilled background
- Joinery/carpentry experience
- Experience working in both occupied and void properties
- Manual Handling qualification
- Asbestos Awareness
- Working at Heights qualification preferred
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and complete works to a high standard
- Own transport and tools for the initial temporary period
Package
- £20–£22 per hour CIS
- Temporary to permanent opportunity
- Initial 12-week temporary period
- During the temporary period, candidates will be required to provide their own transport and tools
- Once taken on permanently, a company van and fuel card will be provided
- Long-term work available
- Initial project in Wirral, with further projects across Bolton and Greater Manchester
We are looking for reliable, experienced Multi Skilled Operatives, particularly those with bathroom adaptation experience, who are looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to move into a permanent position.
Pay: £19.00-£22.00 per hour
