Are you a proactive, solutions-focused individual with a passion for preventing homelessness, reducing reoffending, and supporting people involved in Criminal Justice services to move forward? This could be the role for you.
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading rehabilitation and resettlement charity, commissioned by HMPPS, delivering housing-focused support across South Wales. This role covers Merthyr and Pontypridd, working closely with Probation and partner agencies to support individuals on release and in the community.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering 1-2-1 housing advice and interventions
- Completing housing needs assessments and action plans
- Liaising with landlords, letting agents and local authority housing teams
- Sourcing private rented sector accommodation, including HMOs and shared housing
- Supporting clients to sustain tenancies and access wider support services
What we’re looking for:
- Good knowledge of housing and welfare benefits systems
- Experience supporting adults with complex needs, homelessness or substance misuse
- Experience working with multiple disadvantage
Requirements: Ideally HMPPS Level 1 vetting or willingness to undergo vetting
