NMC Registered Nurse - Essential
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Lead to join the team within a well-established nursing home. This is an excellent opportunity for an NMC Registered Nurse who is looking to take the next step in their career while continuing to play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality clinical care.
Working closely with the Home Manager, nursing team and care staff, you will provide clinical leadership across the home, ensuring residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care.
You will play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards, supporting the development of the nursing team and ensuring the home remains fully compliant with CQC requirements and relevant legislation.

Provide strong clinical leadership to the nursing and care teams.

Act as a senior clinical point of contact for residents, families and staff.

Maintain a visible and hands-on approach to clinical care.

Support nurses and carers to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care.

Lead and support the development of care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation.

Monitor and oversee medication management, ensuring safe administration and appropriate recording.

Complete and oversee regular clinical audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans.

Support the Home Manager with CQC compliance, governance and quality assurance.

Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, reported and managed appropriately.

Maintain strong knowledge and application of DoLS, safeguarding, MCA and other relevant legislation.

Provide supervision, coaching and mentoring to nurses and care staff.

Support the induction and ongoing development of new members of the clinical team.

Promote best practice across areas including infection prevention and control, falls, pressure care, nutrition and hydration.

Respond confidently to clinical incidents and make appropriate decisions under pressure.

Work closely with GPs, district nurses, hospitals and other external healthcare professionals.

Build positive relationships with residents and their families, ensuring their views and preferences remain at the centre of care.

Deputise for the Home Manager on clinical matters when required.

Strong clinical knowledge and confidence in leading a nursing team.

Previous experience in a Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse, Deputy Manager or similar senior nursing position is desirable.

Previous experience of leading or mentoring a team.

Excellent clinical decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

A genuine passion for high-quality, person-centred nursing care.

Confident supporting, coaching and developing other nurses and care professionals.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A good understanding of CQC requirements, clinical governance and quality assurance.

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, DoLS, MCA, medication management and risk management.

A proactive approach to identifying and driving improvements within the service.

NMC Registered Nurse with an active PIN - ESSENTIAL.

Relevant post-registration nursing experience.

Experience within a nursing home, care home or similar clinical setting.

Evidence of ongoing professional development.

Experience with clinical audits and governance would be highly desirable.
