## Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team at Tavern At The Mill. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing the daily operations of our pub/restaurant, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Whilst this job is initially for a period of 1 year to cover maternity, we would strive to find a role for you after this time.
## Duties
- Support the Manager in day-to-day operations, including staff management and customer service.
-Ensure health and safety, food safety and audit procedures are followed on a daily basis.
- Help coordinate team activities, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service.
- Assist in training new staff members on food safety, hospitality standards, and service protocols.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food production and quality control. Help in the kitchen when required.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, fostering a positive work environment.
## Requirements
- Previous experience in a high volume restaurant or pub setting is essential.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
- Knowledge of bartending, food production, and cookery is advantageous.
- Familiarity with event planning and charity fundraising is a plus.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are necessary for this role.
