Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maternity Nursery Nurse Level 3 to join our childcare team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to infants and young children within a nursery setting, ensuring their safety, development, and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have relevant nursery experience, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with children. This is a paid position suitable for individuals committed to fostering a nurturing environment for early childhood development.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care to infants and young children in accordance with nursery policies and procedures
- Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through engaging activities and interactions
- Monitor children's health and wellbeing, including feeding, changing nappies, and administering basic first aid when necessary
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement age-appropriate educational programmes
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's development and needs
- Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, organised, and stimulating at all times
- Assist in managing the nursery's daily operations, including organising activities and supervising children during playtimes
Skills
- Proven management and leadership abilities within a childcare setting
- Extensive experience working with children in nurseries or early childhood education environments
- Strong childcare skills with a focus on infant care and development
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and independence
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
- Compassionate nature with patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for early childhood education
