Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Freelance PLC / Controls Contractor on an on-call or day-rate basis to diagnose and resolve ongoing electrical and control faults on a Haffner uPVC window machining center.
The machine operates on a legacy Jetter system featuring a JC-647 controller and JetMove 600 servo drive modules. We need an immediate, hands-on specialist with deep knowledge of Jetter hardware and software (JetSym) to perform a comprehensive diagnostic review, fix intermittent faults, and restore system stability.
Scope of Work
- Fault Diagnostics: Perform root-cause analysis on recurring drive errors, communication dropouts, or positioning glitches across the Jetter JC-647 controller and JetMove 600 drives.
- PLC / Servo Calibration: Connect via JetSym software to inspect error logs, monitor active I/O, tune parameters, or clear latent faults.
- Electrical System Health Check: Inspect 24V field wiring, signal connections, power supplies, feedback cables, and drive units for wear, noise, or hardware degradation.
- Recommendations: Provide clear guidance on hardware health, backup procedures, or necessary component replacements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Jetter PLC Expertise: Prior hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming Jetter JC series controllers and JetMove servo drives.
- Software Competency: Familiarity with Jetter programming tools (e.g., JetSym).
- Machinery Knowledge: Background with uPVC or aluminum profile processing machinery (Haffner, Elumatec, Wegoma, Stürtz, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Status: Must be a self-employed contractor / business entity with standard public liability insurance.
