The main responsibilities are to organise and manage the garden plant dispatch department of the nursery plus assist in other departments when required. This role is vital to co-ordinating the delivery and distribution of millions of plants to our retail centres. The successful candidate must be able to manage and administration the inbound deliveries from our European suppliers and our nursery and efficiently dispatch all products to our centres ready for sale.
We can offer full training in all aspects of the job and while horticultural knowledge is an advantage it is not essential but good warehouse and logistics experience is welcome.
The job is hands on and requires physical lifting and carrying so a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.
All applicants will need reliable transport / lift to work as public transport is limited however we do provide free parking on site.
The starting rate for this role is £16-£18 per hour which is the equivalent of £33,000 -£37,000. Holiday is pro rata based on days worked – approx. 28 days per year.
