Laundry Assistant

We are currently seeking a kind, reliable, and practical individual to join us as a Laundry Assistant. This is a vital behind-the-scenes role where your attention to detail and pride in your work will make a real difference every day.
As a Laundry Assistant, you’ll ensure that pupils always have clean uniforms, fresh towels, and neatly pressed bedding. From sorting and folding to operating commercial laundry equipment, you’ll be an integral part of the team that keeps school life ticking along seamlessly.
Whether you have previous experience in a similar role or simply enjoy staying organised, being helpful, and working with purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Information
This is a permanent, term-time plus additional hours contract. The hours of work are 6pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday. Please refer to the information pack for details of the additional hours to be worked
The ideal start date for this role is as soon as possible. However, we can be flexible about the start date if needed.
For insurance purposes when operating school vehicles, we will only be able to accept applicants from those who have a full UK driving licence and are aged 21 or over

Pay: £10,721.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- East Grinstead RH19 3PD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Application question(s):
- Previous experience of working a similar role such as in a school, hotel, care home, or healthcare setting
- Basic sewing or mending skills
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 15kg unaided

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
