PRE SCHOOL SETTING ASSISTANT
(FIXED TERM UNTIL AUGUST 2027 )
16 hours per week – starting 1st September 2026
We currently have an opportunity for a Pre School Setting Assistant to join our reliable, hardworking and dedicated preschool team in our thriving setting.
We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant who:
- has achieved a level 3 qualification that is recognised on the Care Council for Wales’ current list of Accepted Qualifications for the Early Years
- has a sound understanding of Early Years principles & practice and
- would:
➢ contribute to planning and record keeping.
➢ supervise & interact effectively with children during the sessions.
➢ support children consistently whilst recognising & responding to their individual needs.
➢ promote inclusion.
- encourage and utilise the outdoor environment to support the children’s learning experiences.
- positively encourage bilingualism and promote the sense of Cynefin in the setting.
The work pattern for this role is: 16 hrs during the childcare sessions for 2 and 3 year-olds.
Monday – Thursday 11:30-3:30 during term time only.

Salary: Grade 4 Point 5 to Point 6 £25,583 to £25,989 per annum pro rata £13.26 to £13.47 per hour
