Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser / Technician to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
- Provide medication administration support to patients under supervision
- Offer compassionate patient care, including answering queries and providing medication guidance
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
- Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations
- Support inventory management by checking stock levels and placing orders as needed
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is preferred but not essential; relevant training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A recognised qualification in pharmacy services or related field is desirable but not mandatory
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards
