Hours: 3pm – 9pm Thursday; 4pm – 10pm Friday; 10am – 10pm Saturday.
Salary: £17,720 (24 hours per week)
We are looking for a bar supervisor to support our team behind the bar in Ffos Caerffili. You will need to be able to work as part of a wider team, working together to make the whole site the best it can be. You will take on responsibility for organising the staff rota, based on our events calendar. Throughout each shift, you will need to prioritise and assign tasks to ensure that we can provide the best service to customers. You will take pride in standards – ensuring that customers and other traders are treated with respect and have a positive experience. You will have experience of bar work, including cellar experience. You will be adept at maintaining hygiene and health and safety practices to the highest standards.
Essential Requirements

- Calm under pressure, especially during busy periods
- Good communicator – you will need to brief staff clearly and professionally.
· Customer-focused – being a friendly face at the bar, and solving any issues in a professional and reasonable manner.
- Proactive – spotting issues (low stock, cleanliness, equipment faults) before they become problems
- Flexibility with working hours (e.g. evenings, weekends, bank holidays)
Essential Skills / Experience
· Minimum 2 years’ bar work experience
- Basic health & safety awareness (manual handling, COSHH for cellar chemicals, accident reporting)
- Experience with EPOS systems / stock management software
- Keyholder responsibilities, following lock-up procedures
- Creating an excellent front-facing impression through displays, behaviour, and attitude.
· Basic staff management e.g. rota organisation, training new staff, managing priorities while on shift.
· Understanding of deliveries and stock rotation
· Basic understanding of food and beverage hygiene
· Cellar experience
· Allergy awareness trained
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with events, private hire, or entertainment licensing
- Interest in cask ale/craft beer/mixology
- First Aid at Work certificate
