We are looking for a creative and technically strong Web Design Consultant to help shape modern, accessible, and high-performing digital experiences.
Summary
We are seeking a Web Design Consultant who combines strong UI/UX understanding with modern frontend development skills. You will work closely with designers, developers, integration specialists, bid teams, and product teams to create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly digital solutions for both client projects and our internal AI platform initiatives.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable translating design concepts into production-ready frontend code while ensuring excellent usability, accessibility, and performance standards. The role will also support the creation of proof-of-concept (POC) designs, bid visuals, prototypes, integration mockups, and innovative AI-enabled user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate design mockups, wireframes, and prototypes into high-quality frontend code.
- Create design mockups, clickable prototypes, dashboards, and proof-of-concept (POC) screens for client demonstrations and bid submissions.
- Support bid and proposal teams by producing visually engaging solution mockups, user journeys, concept designs, architecture visuals, and presentation materials.
- Create ServiceNow implementation mockups including portals, workflows, dashboards, case management screens, and service catalog concepts.
- Develop MuleSoft and Talend integration mockups and visual data flow representations for enterprise integration and API-led connectivity solutions.
- Produce integration journey diagrams and frontend concepts for connected enterprise platforms and AI-enabled workflows.
- Collaborate closely with designers, UX teams, architects, and integration specialists to ensure design fidelity and usability.
- Develop responsive and modern web interfaces using contemporary frontend technologies.
- Integrate frontend components with backend services and APIs.
- Ensure adherence to accessibility standards including WCAG 2.2 AA and web performance best practices.
- Maintain code quality through version control (Git), code reviews, and automated testing.
- Optimise web applications for speed, scalability, reliability, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Work within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve frontend issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of component libraries and design systems.
- Support the design and development of AI-enabled digital experiences and intelligent user interfaces.
- Work closely with internal teams contributing towards Akoni Technologies’ in-house AI product development initiatives.
- Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies, UX trends, accessibility standards, Agentic AI, and AI agents.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience creating UI mockups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Good understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Good Knowledge of ServiceNow implementation mockups.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and modern web design practices.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.2 AA.
- Familiarity with Git version control and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of Integrations using Mulesoft & Talend.
- Experience with frontend performance optimisation techniques.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
