Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of lessons under the supervision of the class teacher, ensuring activities are engaging and accessible.
- Lead small group sessions to reinforce learning objectives, especially for students with special educational needs or disabilities.
- Provide targeted support for children with autism or other specific learning challenges, adapting approaches as needed.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior to promote a safe, respectful, and productive environment.
- Mentor and tutor students who require additional help, fostering their confidence and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents to support student well-being and achievement.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of special education practices and experience supporting individuals with disabilities or autism.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students of varying needs and backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, tutor, and motivate young learners.
- Familiarity with teaching strategies tailored for children with diverse learning styles.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education support or related fields are highly desirable.
- A proactive attitude with excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a busy classroom environment.

Pay: £22,500.00-£23,500.00 per year
