Overview
Care Worker PA. This post is a casual worker post for bank staff, someone who is able to cover when needed. This post has an important role to cover the Manager as his PA as and when required. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker background person who will act as PA to the manager, in his absence, to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, Supported Accommodation sleep overs as and when required and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of clients, offering personalised care tailored to their specific needs. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care if required, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed instructions and organisational policies if required
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer's care, employing behaviour management techniques as necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Assist with cleaning duties as required, to maintain a clean and safe living space
- Support clients with mobility issues through safe lifting and transfer techniques
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safety and comfort during transport
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to relevant healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, Supported living, or home care environments is desirable
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care practices is advantageous
- Certification or training in first aid and medication administration is preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties is beneficial
- Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach towards clients of all ages, including children and elderly individuals
- Organised with excellent attention to detail in documentation and care planning
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required; a caring attitude is essential for success in this role
