Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Groundworkers, Drivers, Site Operatives, and Small Works Contractors to join our dynamic construction and site maintenance teams. In this vital role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of on-site tasks that ensure the smooth and safe progression of projects. Whether operating machinery, transporting materials, or performing foundational groundwork, your contribution will be essential to delivering quality results efficiently. Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring a safe working environment
- Operate a range of machinery and tools such as diggers, loaders, or compactors with skill and safety awareness
- Transport materials and equipment to designated areas using company vehicles or trucks
- Assist with groundwork activities including excavation, trenching, and foundation laying under supervision
- Follow health and safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations
- Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and team members to meet project deadlines
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and site conditions to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs
Skills
- Proven experience in groundworks, site operations, or construction-related roles is highly desirable
- Valid driving license suitable for operating company vehicles or trucks
- Ability to operate construction machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of site documentation procedures such as logs and inspection reports.
Working under the direction of our Site Engineers and Management Team, you will play a key role in delivering a prestigious project while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism.
