Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, preparation and possess a strong understanding of kitchen operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking meals to specifications, running the quiet shifts alone ,(you are never alone because we are all team players so the pots get washed)
whilst maintaining a clean and safe work environment in accordance with food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Cook a variety of menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
- Assist with meal preparation during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
- Support the team in managing stock levels, rotating ingredients, and reducing waste
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques across various cuisines is desirable
- Experience working in a restaurant environment,
- Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills and adaptability
- Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and presentation.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
