Factory / Production Operative
Location: Rochester, Kent
Full-Time – 48 Hours Per Week
Monday–Thursday: 6:00am–4:30pm | Friday: 6:00am–2:30pm
We are recruiting for a Factory / Production Operative to join an established specialist engineering and manufacturing business based in Rochester.
This is a great opportunity to join a busy production environment where you’ll receive training across a range of specialist manufacturing processes, machinery and equipment.
The role is hands-on and varied, combining machine operation, production work, quality checking and manual handling.
The Role
- Operating specialist production machinery and robotic equipment
- Loading and unloading machinery
- Preparing, mixing and testing production materials
- Manual dipping and preparation of components
- Operating specialist processing equipment
- Preparing and patching moulds
- Carrying out production and finishing processes
- Completing job cards and production records
- Performing basic quality-control checks
- Following production instructions and safe working procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised working area
What We're Looking For
- Previous factory, manufacturing, engineering, warehouse or production experience would be advantageous
- Comfortable working in a hands-on and physically active environment
- Good attention to detail
- Able to follow processes and work instructions
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable operating machinery and learning new equipment
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
The Opportunity
You’ll be joining an established UK engineering manufacturer operating within a specialist and highly technical sector.
Full training will be provided on the company's processes and equipment, making this a strong opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within manufacturing and engineering.
