We are seeking a highly skilled, forward-thinking Beauty Therapist to join our team. While a core part of your role will be providing high-quality, comfortable waxing treatments, we are also looking for someone to help us expand! We want a therapist who is trained in advanced skin treatments and wellness therapies that we currently do not offer.
If you have a unique skillset, a finger on the pulse of the latest beauty industry trends, and the ambition to help us introduce exciting new treatments to fill gaps in the local market, this is the perfect role for you. You will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise, build a loyal client base, and actively shape our treatment menu.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, high-standard waxing treatments across various areas of the body, ensuring maximum client comfort.
- Act as an innovator for the salon by introducing, promoting, and performing advanced skin treatments (e.g., peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, or targeted facials) and wellness therapies.
- Identify gaps in our current service menu and collaborate with management to launch new, in-demand treatments.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their unique skin, body, and wellness needs, recommending bespoke treatment plans.
- Provide expert aftercare advice and retail recommendations to ensure optimal, long-lasting results.
- Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment sterilisation.
- Keep accurate, detailed client records and treatment histories.
- Uphold a warm, welcoming, and highly professional atmosphere within the salon at all times.
Skills & Experience
- Essential: Proven experience and formal qualifications in professional waxing techniques.
- Essential: Additional qualifications or strong proven experience in advanced skincare, aesthetics, or wellness therapies (e.g., NVQ Level 3/4 Beauty Therapy or equivalent).
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive attitude with the desire to bring new ideas to the table and help grow a new side of the business.
- Client-Focused: Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to put clients at ease instantly.
- Detail-Oriented: Highly organised, with strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
- Team Player: A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour with both clients and colleagues.
- (Optional) Ability to apply makeup or perform other niche beauty treatments is a great bonus!
