A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stonehouse is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join its preschool team. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody nurturing, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting young children during the most important stages of their development.
In this role, you will help create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment where children can learn through play, build confidence and develop their communication, independence and social skills. You will work closely with the wider EYFS team to plan and deliver meaningful activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
The school is looking for somebody who can build warm and positive relationships with children, families and colleagues while supporting each child’s individual needs, interests and development.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
- Supporting children’s communication, social, emotional and physical development
- Observing children and recording their progress and next steps
- Encouraging curiosity and independence through purposeful play
- Supporting children with additional needs where required
- Working collaboratively with the preschool and wider school team
- Maintaining a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment
- Following safeguarding, health and safety, and EYFS procedures
Requirements:
- A relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential
- UK-based experience within an Early Years or preschool setting
- A sound understanding of the EYFS framework
- A warm, patient and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive and proactive attitude towards children’s learning and wellbeing
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities
