Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail‑oriented Locker Assembly Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling lockers, storage units, and associated components to a high standard. This role involves hands‑on assembly work, use of tools, and ensuring all products meet quality and safety requirements before dispatch or installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling lockers, cabinets, and storage units according to drawings, instructions, and build specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively (e.g., drills, riveters, screwdrivers)
- Fit hinges, locks, shelves, panels, and hardware components
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Report any defects, shortages, or assembly issues to the supervisor
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Always follow all health and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with production, stores, and quality teams
Requirements
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a similar hands‑on role preferred but not essential.
- Ability to read basic drawings or assembly instructions
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable Skills
- General Handyman Skills / joinery, or fabrication
- good all-round DIY.
