Background
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced paralegal to join our plot sales team within the commercial property department. The department act for several national house builders whose expectations and requirements are extremely high. The role will involve ensuring efficient processing and high levels of service delivery to all developer clients served by the team.
The role
Duties will include:

Dealing with Certificates of Compliance, Deeds of Variation and ad doc enquiries for historic sites
- Assisting the Fee Earner with their caseload which comprises of standard plot sales to dedicated clients
- Opening new files and preparing contract documents
- Responsibility for drafting ancillary legal documents, including plot transfers, leases, plot contracts
- Ensuring accurate up to date management information is provided to clients in accordance with their requirements.
- Assist colleagues to meet department targets and SLAs.
- Apportion bills appropriately.
- Liaising with clients and chasing solicitors acting for the other side.
Skills & Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally have basic conveyancing/property experience. They will have excellent client care skills and be willing to attend client meetings when required. In addition, the ideal candidate will need a high level of administrative and IT skills. Experience of a case management system would be a distinct advantage.
An eye for detail and strong organisational skills are also needed along with the ability to organise and prioritise work in order to meet demanding deadlines.
