Role
We are currently looking for an experienced decorator to join our team at A&K Building Services Ltd.
This role will be based out of our office in Northenden, Manchester and will be working on a range of construction contracts throughout Greater Manchester and Cheshire. Our current contract base that this role will be working on includes:
- DFG Extensions
- DFG Level Access Showers
- Void Contracts
The successful candidate will need to be a driven individual who is able to work to deadlines and work independently.
The successful candidate will need to also be experienced in painting and decorating and be able to perform a number of decorating tasks including wallpapering and decorating.
Responsibilities
- Work within a team of operatives to finish a complete project
- Work independently within the scheduled workplan to provide finishing elements of the project
- Prepare all surfaces required by cleaning, sanding and filling holes and cracks as required
- Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with project specifications
- Work to tight deadlines to ensure on-time completion
- Ensure the project has been left in a clean manner upon completion
Requirements
- Previous experience painting and decorating within a construction setting
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- CSCS Card (desired but not essential)
- Asbestos Awareness certificate – again, desirable but not essential
- Ability to hang wallpaper and to decorate to a high standard
- Full clean driving license
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure a clean tidy workspace
Package
We currently are offering a full time post for the right candidate working within teams performing the duties above.
**This work is on a self-employed basis and all applicants will be required to be CIS registered and obtain a UTR number within 4 weeks of starting work**
