Job Purpose
Industrial P1 Scaffolder to erect, alter, and dismantle basic and standard scaffold structures safely and to the required standard, working as part of a team under the guidance of a P2/Advanced or Supervisor as needed, in accordance with EES safety procedures, TG20 guidance, and client site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Erect, alter, and dismantle tube and fitting and/or system scaffolding in accordance with drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Work safely at height in line with EES Health & Safety policy and current HSE/TG20:13 guidance.
- Carry out daily visual checks of scaffold materials and equipment; report defects or shortages to the Supervisor.
- Handle and stack scaffold materials safely, both on the ground and at height.
- Work collaboratively with the wider site team, including other trades, to maintain safe and efficient site operations.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area at all times.
- Attend toolbox talks, briefings, and training as required.
- Be willing and available to work overtime and respond to call-outs at short notice, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as operational needs require.
- Represent EES professionally at all times when on client sites.
Essential Requirements
- Valid CISRS Part 1 (P1) Scaffolder card.
- Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) where required by site.
- Current CPCS/relevant plant tickets not required, but a strong safety record and good working knowledge of scaffold standards is essential.
- Willingness and ability to work at height, in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel to various site locations as required.
- Willingness to work overtime and be part of the call-out rota, which is remunerated at a very good enhanced rate.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A strong, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work.
Desirable
- Previous experience working on industrial or commercial sites.
- First Aid at Work certificate.
- Working towards CISRS Part 2 (P2) / Advanced Scaffolder qualification.
Pay, Overtime & Call-Outs
Competitive base day rate, with overtime and call-outs paid at a very good enhanced rate. Call-out availability is a requirement of this role, and candidates should be prepared to respond outside of normal working hours when needed.
