Service Administrator | Mercedes-Benz of Epsom
An opportunity has arisen to join us as a Service Administrator in Epsom. The main purpose of the Service Administrator role is to assist and support the Service Team Managers and to maximise the sale of additional products and services, upsell work, tyres, products and service plans.
Key Accountabilities:
- To take bookings for service department as required by telephone, obtaining all necessary details in respect of work required, nature of problems and wherever possible identifying specific faults
- To build an understanding and knowledge of the full range of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, products and services.
- To liaise with inter-departmental staff where necessary and ensure the customer is kept informed without delay.
- To validate Dealer Management System (DMS) marketing records for existing customers or create new record for new customers.
- To offer all customers (unless leased vehicle) an estimate for work booked.
- To ensure that any customer mobility requirements are arranged if required and maintain appropriate schedules for courtesy cars and collection and delivery drivers.
- To raise vehicle job cards for each job and pass them to the relevant STM/Service Advisor, ensuring that all service documentation is completed accurately and ensure all vehicles are checked for service measures and recalls.
- To assist STM’s with retail invoicing as required to meet demand
- To produce a daily appointment diary and distribute to all STM and Hosts.
- Complete the following tasks as required: Daily Banking, Cash Debt, Parts in Stock bookings and Loan Car Conviction Management.
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Previous administration experience within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within the automotive industry or another technical environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Confidence using multiple computer systems simultaneously.
- Experience processing invoices and maintaining accurate records.
- GCSE Maths Grade 5 (C) or above.
- Knowledge of the Kerridge Dealer Management System would be advantageous, but not essential.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30 with 1 hour unpaid break. Total 37.5 hours per week
Saturdays 08:00 – 14:00 on a rota basis
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £28,509.00 per year
